Program Details:
The University of Ottawa Undergraduate Scholarship significantly reduces tuition fees for eligible students by $17,500 to $25,000 (excellence scholarships) or $12,000 to $20,000 (entrance scholarships) annually. These scholarships are awarded based on admission averages and are applied directly to the tuition fees.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for the University of Ottawa Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be international students with a valid study permit.
- Be citizens of one of the eligible countries.
- Be enrolled full-time in one of the specified programs.
- For the Entrance Scholarship, have an admission average of 89.99% or lower.
- For the Excellence Scholarship, have an admission average of at least 90%.
- Be newly admitted to one of the following programs in Engineering, Social Sciences, or Sciences offered in English or with French immersion options.
Eligible undergraduate programs include:
- Engineering: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
- Social Sciences: Sociology, Anthropology, International Development, Conflict Studies, Public Administration.
- Sciences: All programs (except specific Honours BSc and BASc combinations).
Scholarship Duration and Benefits:
- The scholarship is renewable for up to four years (12 terms).
- It covers up to $100,000 over the course of the undergraduate program.
- Scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students and may be renewed based on continued academic performance.
How to Apply:
- Interested applicants must first apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre at https://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/.
- Once the application is received, the university will generate a Student Number.
- Applicants will then use the UOZone portal to submit their documents and results for review.
- Eligible candidates will receive a conditional admission offer, including the scholarship, based on their admission average.
