Eligibility:

General:

  • Must be from a developing country and show financial need.
  • Cannot be residing in Japan on a working visa.
  • Applicants already enrolled in postgraduate programs or receiving other scholarships are ineligible.

Master’s Applicants:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a sustainability-related field.
  • A GPA of 2.8+ (70% equivalent).
  • English proficiency.

PhD Applicants:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience related to UNU-IAS themes.
  • A GPA of 2.8+.
  • English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS).
